C++ Technical Lead (Windows Internal, COM/ DCOM/ COM+)

Up to £120k base + package


C++ Technical Lead, Windows Internal, Hooking, DLL injection, Native Win32 APIs, ATL/ COM/DCOM/COM+, TDD, BDD, Kanban, Object Oriented Programming

We're recruiting for a Niche Cloud Provider based in London who are looking for an experienced C++ Technical Lead to head up and build on their successful Software Development Team. Their teams follow a Lean development process working directly with Customers, Product Managers and Stakeholders to ensure they deliver the right business value as often as possible.

As a C++ Technical Lead, you will:

  • be responsible for migrating portfolios of applications from a legacy domain to a modern domain which may include Cloud, Private Cloud and virtualised environments.
  • play an essential part in the design, architecture and development of their product products (desktop / Native API level code, not web-based or mobile apps)

To be considered for this role you must:

  • Have a minimum of 10 years C/C++ commercial development experience
  • Have experience leading a team of Developers and have previous experience working as a Technical Lead
  • Have Windows Internals knowledge including Hooking, DLL injection, Native Win32 APIs, ATL / COM/DCOM/COM+
  • Familiar with desktop and server application portfolio's
  • Software development background
  • Windows Desktop and Server experience
  • Design, deploy experience of application and / or services
  • 2 tier - n tier to Cloud architecture experience
  • Technical trouble shooter, unlocking technical issues hands on, on a daily basis
  • Takes ownership, leads others, drives customer outcomes
  • Team player, leads, brings others with them

Desirable Skills:

  • Docker, Kubernetes, Azure, AWS, GCP Citrix, VMWare
  • SOLID Principles
  • Virtualisation Domain Knowledge (AppV/Containers)
  • Pair programming
  • Unit testing
  • TDD
  • Peer reviews

  • Secure coding practices, and knowledge of operating system security architecture

In return my client will offer:

  • A starting salary of up to £120k base
